Who will receive your savings on your death?
By designating a beneficiary, you decide who is to receive your pension savings on your death. If you do not designate a beneficiary, we will automatically pay out your savings to your next of kin.
As your pension scheme was established with The Pension Fund for Technicians- and Bachelor of Engineering, your “next of kin” were automatically designated as your beneficiaries – see the description below.
What benefit payments you can secure for your beneficiaries depend on your pension scheme.
You can see the coverages paid out to your beneficiaries on your death in your pension and insurance coverage outline. The outline is currently available in Danish only.
You can also designate one or more beneficiaries yourself by completing a beneficiary designation form - there is a designation form for the group insurance and for the pension scheme. You must fill in the name and civil registration number of the persons you want to designate as your beneficiaries, stating the proportion of your savings you want to allocate to the person in question.
Beneficiaries without a civil registration number
If a beneficiary does not have a Danish civil registration number, we need documentation from/about this person to identify him/her if we need to. This may be in the form of a copy of the person’s passport, certificate of birth and contact details, for example. Contact us to learn more about what you need to submit to us.
